From humble beginnings, our family-owned freight relocation business has grown from a single truck and a shared dream into a trusted name in transport for over 25 years.

It was 2005 when Heywood Cartage Contractors began, due to the hard work and dedication of Phil Heywood. The company steadily expanded. In 2014, Phil's son Ryan joined the team & Heywood Freightlines was established.

Heywood Freightlines is now proudly led by Ryan, while Phil remains an active presence in the background, offering guidance and wisdom from decades of experience. With the third generation already eager to get involved, the passion for the family business is clearly set to carry on for many years to come.

What started as a small operation has grown into a fleet servicing customers far and wide, but our values have never changed. Every load we carry is treated with the same care and respect we’d give our own, and every customer is welcomed like family.

From one generation to the next, our mission remains simple: deliver freight safely, on time, and with the genuine service only a family business can provide.

Heywood Freightlines is a proudly owned and operated family business. Based in South Australia, & with over 21 years of experience, we are a trusted provider of professional transport and logistics services, specialising in efficient and compliant linehaul operations throughout Australia.

Our team comprises experienced transport professionals, licensed heavy vehicle drivers & skilled support staff, all committed to upholding high operational standards and exceeding client expectations. We operate a modern, well-maintained fleet equipped with GPS tracking and are supported by robust scheduling systems to ensure on-time performance, transparency & accountability.

We currently have a depot in Gilham, Adelaide & Truganina, Melbourne & we have a local fleet in both states. Our fleet comprises of vans, light trucks, rigids fitted with tail lifts for onsite deliveries, ten B-double combinations, including mezzanine floor, drop decks and straight decks.

This diverse and well maintained fleet provides the versatility required to accommodate a wide range of transport requirements, including the efficient movement of palletised and packaged goods, ensuring reliable and timely delivery across all destinations.

We provide reliable door-to-door pickup and delivery services tailored to meet a wide range of logistic requirements. Whether transporting a single pallet or a full truck load, we deliver with consistency and care.
